Sales Executive / Account Manager
Gauteng | Full-Time
Are you a driven Account Manager or Sales Representative who enjoys winning new business, building strong client relationships and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships?
An established and growing technology solutions business is looking for an Account Manager to join its Johannesburg team.
This is a hands-on sales role for someone who is confident with the full sales cycle — from prospecting and generating new business through to closing deals, onboarding clients and providing excellent after-sales service.
What you’ll be doing
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets
- Present and promote products and solutions to prospective customers
- Manage negotiations, pricing and contracts through to successful close
- Handle objections and identify solutions that meet customer needs
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to onboarding
- Identify opportunities in new markets, regions and sectors
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure solutions align with customer requirements
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, call reports and sales activity
- Provide feedback on customer needs and market developments
- Deliver exceptional after-sales service to encourage customer satisfaction and retention
What we’re looking for
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar sales or account management role
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales-driven environment
- Experience within the ICT / Telecoms industry highly advantageous
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative and organisational ability
- A proven ability to build and nurture client relationships
- Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Product or industry knowledge
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own transport
- Hours: Sales orientated & involvement with monthly stocktake
