Job description

Seatly is a WhatsApp-native booking and marketing platform for restaurants. No app downloads, no phone calls — guests book through a chat. We’re founder-built, live with Cape Town venues, and hiring our first salesperson.

The role

You’ll own new restaurant signups across Cape Town. This is founder-adjacent, in-the-field sales: walking into venues, demoing Seatly on the manager’s own phone, and closing. You’ll shape our sales playbook, not follow one.

What you’ll do

Prospect and sign up Cape Town restaurants, cafés and bars
Run in-person demos (a demo takes 5 minutes on WhatsApp)
Manage your pipeline from first visit to activation
Feed real venue feedback into product development
Help define pricing, pitch and process as employee #1 in sales

What we’re looking for

2+ years sales experience, ideally selling to restaurants, hospitality or SMEs
Comfortable walking into a busy venue and finding the decision-maker
Own transport and willingness to be on the road most days
Hospitality industry experience (FOH, management, suppliers) is a strong plus
Self-managed — you’ll have founder support, not a sales manager
