Job description

EXTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE

Pinetown, Durban

R17 000 – R28 000 Basic + Fuel + Commission

An established company within the fire safety equipment and health & safety training industry is looking for a driven, hunter-style External Sales Executive to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on generating new business, opening new accounts, and building long-term client relationships. If you're passionate about sales and have industry knowledge, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

-Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and cold calling

-Sell fire safety equipment, solutions, and health & safety training services

-Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations

-Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects

-Develop long-term relationships with new and existing clients

-Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on opportunities

-Negotiate and close sales to achieve and exceed monthly targets

-Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to after-sales service

-Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities on the CRM system

-Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional products and services

-Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, and competitor activity

Minimum Requirements:

-Minimum 3 years' experience in an external hunter sales role

-Previous experience within the fire safety equipment, fire protection, or health & safety training industry is essential

-Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

-Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills

-Self-motivated, energetic, resilient, and target-driven

-Valid driver's license

-Own reliable vehicle (essential)

-Computer literate with experience using CRM systems
