Location: Pretoria | Gauteng | North West
Position: Permanent | Home-Based | Initial 4-Month Probation
Travel: Client Meetings, Site Visits & Selected Events Required
Summit Conference & Events is looking for a professional, proactive and results-driven Sales, Marketing & Business Development Executive to grow our corporate client base.
The primary focus of this role is new business development — identifying prospective corporate clients, generating leads, securing appointments and building long-term business relationships.
This is a home-based position, but not a purely remote role. Regular face-to-face client meetings and travel are required, together with involvement in selected corporate events.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new corporate business opportunities
Generate leads through cold calling, email, networking and direct outreach
Arrange and attend face-to-face client meetings
Build relationships with corporate decision-makers and procurement teams
Present Summit’s conference, event and décor services
Consistently follow up on leads and proposals
Work towards agreed sales and new-business targets
Attend client meetings, networking opportunities and site visits
Assist with selected events, including on-site coordination and décor setup/breakdown where required
Requirements
Previous sales, marketing or business-development experience
Confident in prospecting, cold calling and opening new business opportunities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Professional and comfortable dealing with corporate clients
Target-driven, organised and consistent with follow-ups
Self-disciplined and able to work independently from home
Willing to travel and occasionally work outside normal business hours
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence – essential
Events, hospitality or conference experience would be advantageous
Remuneration & Employment
This is a permanent position, subject to an initial four-month probation period.
The package includes a competitive monthly basic salary, performance-based incentives linked to agreed targets, and an additional on-site event fee where applicable.
Remuneration will be negotiated according to experience and proven business-development ability.
Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
