PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales operations within the region while ensuring adhering to TCF principles

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainable sales growth, expanding market presence, developing high-performing sales teams, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in the Stop Order market, strong people management capabilities, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Leadership & Business Growth

  • Drive profitable and sustainable sales growth across the region.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities within the Stop Order (SO) and Debit Order (DO) markets.
  • Establish and grow high-performing production teams in identified growth markets.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and stop order facilities.
  • Lead business development initiatives that increase market penetration and sales performance.
  • Act as the Company's Public Liaison in accordance with approved company guidelines.
  • Monitor regional performance and implement corrective actions to achieve business objectives.

People Management & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Business Development Managers, Field Sales Managers, and Independent Contractors.
  • Drive continuous recruitment to ensure a strong pipeline of sales talent.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, coaching, and field support initiatives to enhance sales team effectiveness.
  • Create a performance-driven culture that promotes accountability, engagement, and excellence.
  • Ensure teams consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Apply company performance management policies and procedures fairly and effectively.
  • Manage disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and labour legislation.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all BDMs, FSMs, and Independent Contractors operate within company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with FAIS and all relevant industry regulations.
  • Promote ethical business practices and uphold company standards at all times.
  • Ensure all sales activities meet quality assurance and compliance requirements.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Manage regional operational budgets and expenses effectively.
  • Oversee regional administration and resource allocation.
  • Manage company vehicle fleets and ensure effective utilization of assets.
  • Monitor and control expenditure in line with approved budgets.
  • Ensure accurate business planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement.

Field Marketing & Sales Activation

  • Oversee and drive field marketing initiatives and sales activations.
  • Ensure continuous development of sales capabilities throughout the region.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement targeted interventions to improve results.
  • Support managers and teams in the field to maximize productivity and conversion rates.

MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES

Education

Minimum grade 12 qualification

Post-matric or tertiary qualification will be advantageous.

Must meet FAIS "Fit and Proper" requirements.

Completed Regulatory Examination (RE5) will be advantageous.

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years' proven experience in Field Marketing and Stop Order sales.

Minimum 4 years' experience in a middle management role.

Proven experience managing managers, sales teams, and Independent Contractors.

Extensive experience managing stop order facilities and stakeholder relationships.

Demonstrated success in opening and growing stop order facilities.

Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Experience managing financial resources and sales budgets.

Experience in business planning, forecasting, reporting, and sales operations.

Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing sales teams.
