Job description
The purpose of this role is to search for additional opportunities (dealers) in the market, and drive sales The purpose of this role is to identify and pursue additional sales opportunities in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) retail environment. The Sales Representative will build strong customer relationships, grow sales, and help ensure the company’s products are available and presented well in stores.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify new sales opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
- Visit retail stores and build professional relationships with buyers, managers, and staff.
- Promote the company’s products and provide customers with accurate product information.
- Monitor stock levels, product availability, pricing, and promotions.
- Ensure products are displayed correctly and in line with agreed merchandising standards.
- Take and follow up on customer orders, queries, and complaints.
- Track sales performance and provide regular reports on store visits, sales, and market activity.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and activity in the market.
- Work towards agreed sales targets and support the achievement of business objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues promptly.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
DESCRIPTION
- Experience in sales, retail, merchandising, or customer service is an advantage.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A customer-focused and professional approach.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to prepare simple reports.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport may be required, depending on the role.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sales experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FCG sales / retail / merchandising
- Massmart and Massbuild,Game and Pick n Pay
- Clicks and Builders Warehouse
- Independent trade
- Retail terminology and store standards
- Must have own car.
- Preferably with Strong Sales Represantative backround in Retail/FMCG
- Must reside In Gauteng Johannesburg ,Vaal and Pretoria

- Understanding of tech and reporting applications
- Good time management

Pay: R8 000,00 - R13 000,00 per month
