About the Role

Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the renewable energy and electrical sector, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and supporting the company's growth across the Southern African market.

This is a client-facing and travel-intensive position, suited to a confident sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and working across different markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the relevant market.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Promote the company's products and solutions to customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations and sales proposals.
• Follow up on leads, enquiries and prospective opportunities.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute towards overall business growth.
• Conduct customer visits, meetings and product presentations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and potential business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, events and industry engagements.
• Provide regular sales activity and pipeline updates to management.

Requirements

• 3–5 years' sales experience, preferably within an electrical, renewable energy, technical or related industry.
• Diploma, BCom degree or an Electrical-related qualification.
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Commercially driven with a strong customer focus.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
• Professional and confident when engaging with customers.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Southern Africa.

Travel Requirement

The successful candidate must be willing to travel within Southern Africa at least once per month, with each trip potentially requiring a minimum of one week away from home.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
