Sales Representative

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Administrative Assistant to support our sales representatives in the casings industry. In this role, you will manage order processing, coordinate logistics, maintain customer records, and serve as the critical link between our sales team, production, and clients. You will ensure seamless operations that keep our sales reps focused on building relationships and closing deals. Key Responsibilities Order & Contract Management

• Process sales orders, quotations, and contracts accurately and efficiently
• Enter and maintain customer data, pricing agreements, and product specifications in CRM/ERP systems
• Track order status from placement through delivery, proactively communicating updates to sales reps and customers
• Manage sample requests and coordinate sample shipments for prospective clients

Customer & Sales Support

• Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries when sales reps are unavailable
• Resolve routine customer issues related to invoicing, delivery schedules, and product specifications
• Prepare sales presentations, product catalogs, and promotional materials for the sales team
• Schedule customer meetings, trade show appointments, and site visits

Logistics & Coordination

• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and shipping departments to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and alert sales reps to potential stock shortages or delays
• Arrange freight and shipping documentation, including export paperwork when applicable
• Track and report on delivery performance and backorder status

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate weekly/monthly sales reports, pipeline summaries, and activity dashboards
• Maintain commission tracking spreadsheets and sales performance metrics
• Assist in forecasting by collecting market feedback and customer demand signals
• Support the preparation of annual sales budgets and territory plans

Industry-Specific Duties

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of casing products (natural, collagen, cellulose, fibrous) and their applications
• Ensure compliance with food safety documentation, HACCP records, and customer certification requirements
• Support technical inquiries by liaising with quality assurance and R&D teams
• Track industry regulations and assist in maintaining product traceability records

QualificationsEducation & Experience

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative roles — food manufacturing, packaging, or casings industry experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) a plus

Industry Knowledge (Preferred)

• Basic understanding of sausage casings, meat processing, or food packaging products
• Awareness of food safety standards (FSMA, BRC, SQF) and quality certifications
• Knowledge of supply chain dynamics in perishable or regulated goods

Pay: R5 265,97 - R28 512,81 per month
