Job Description
Loadtech Loadcells is looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to promote and sell our industry-leading Onboard Weighing Systems for Trucks & Trailers.
The Onboard Weighing Sales Representative promotes and sells onboard truck and trailer weighing systems to various industries, including transport and waste management. The role involves generating new business, maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and providing expert advice on weighing solutions.

Minimum Requirements Education
- Matric (Grade 12) minimum
- Sales or Technical qualification advantageous
Experience
- 3–5 years of external sales experience required
- Experience in transport, logistics, fleet, mining, agricultural, waste management, or commercial vehicle industries
- Ability to generate new business and maintain customer relationships
- Experience in preparing quotations, product demonstrations, and negotiating sales
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with fleet owners, transport operators, workshop managers, procurement departments, and business owners
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of onboard truck and trailer weighing systems
- Expertise in axle load management, payload optimization, and vehicle mass regulations
- Understanding of suspension types and load sensing technologies
- Familiarity with various truck and trailer configurations
- Knowledge of fleet management and transport operations
- Ability to explain the benefits of onboard weighing systems, including:
- Overload prevention
- Improved payload utilization
- Reduced fines
- Increased efficiency
- Enhanced safety
- Proficiency with weighing indicators, load cells, pressure sensors, and wireless systems
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and performance reports
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales reporting systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience selling industrial equipment to logistics, OEM businesses, and machine customers. They should be comfortable discussing technical solutions, conducting equipment demonstrations, and building long-term customer relationships while consistently achieving sales targets.

- Frequent travel to customer sites
- Willingness to travel nationally when required
