Our vision for Medication Delivery Solutions at BD

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.

About the role

The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth, customer engagement, and market penetration of BD’s Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) portfolio within an assigned territory in South Africa.

The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, delivering clinical and commercial value, and achieving sales targets, while ensuring high standards of compliance and customer experience.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Promote and sell MDS products to healthcare institutions within the Gauteng (East & South) and Limpopo Region.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and key collaborators.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on training sessions.
• Identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Gather and analyze competitor product information and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing and Customer Service.
• Develop and complete territory plans to achieve sales objectives.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Prepare and submit sales activity reports.
• Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and professional events.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the medical device industry.
• Willingness to travel and work anywhere in the Gauteng (East & South) and Limpopo as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
• Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented approach.
• Adaptable and able to respond effectively to change.
