Sales Representative

To maximise sales by delivering exceptional customer care and displaying superior product knowledge.

To contribute to effective stock management by bringing to management's attention any stock discrepancies and to report stock movement in general.

Increased sales and customer loyalty will result in improved business results.

Key Performance Areas:

• Promptly attend to walk-in and phone-in customers
• Manages incoming leads and direct as appropriate.
• Stock orders, discounts and pricing parameters adhered to
• Sales promotions done as required
• Quotes done accurately and timeously
• Actively seek out sales opportunities
• Promote products positively to customers
• Place specials emphasis on the promotion of Exclusive / House Brands
• Focus on ad-ons to the customer baskets
• Be aware of store / individual sales targets and progress in achieving same
• Use appropriate merchandizing techniques to display stock
• Ensure all price tickets/labels are current and accurate
• Assist with in-store organization for promotions e.g. merchandizing, price tickets
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all special offers/ promotions and actively read catalogues and product labels to familiarize yourself with products
• Liaise with debtors / cashier to minimise payment problems
• Ensure collection of monies on delivery of parts

Required experience, qualifications & skills:

• Minimum Matric/ Grade 12.
• Minimum 2- 3 years relevant experience.
• Superior sales and product knowledge.
• Strong administration skills.
• Customer relationship management skills.
• Proven track record in sales.
