The Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue growth, building long-term
client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
Purpose of the Role
To grow Barno’s sales revenue and customer base through proactive business development, account management, relationship building, and solution-based selling of bespoke marketing and branding products.
The Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities and achieving monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Development
Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking,
referrals, and client visits.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Generate leads within corporate, retail, hospitality, events, and promotional sectors.
Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
Convert quotations into confirmed orders.
2. Account Management
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
Conduct regular client visits and follow-up meetings.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries and project updates.
3. Sales Administration & CRM
Prepare quotations and sales proposals accurately and timeously.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity in the CRM system.
Submit weekly sales reports, pipeline reports, and forecasts.
Coordinate internally with production, procurement, and design teams to ensure
successful project execution.
Monitor outstanding quotations and follow up consistently.
4. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and industry trends.
Provide feedback on customer requirements and market developments.
Identify opportunities for new product offerings and market expansion.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
Sales, Marketing, Business, or related qualification advantageous
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years external sales experience
Experience in B2B sales essential
Experience in manufacturing, printing, branding, signage, promotional products, or
marketing industry advantageous
Proven track record of meeting sales targets
Technical Skills
Microsoft Office proficiency
CRM system experience
Strong quotation and negotiation ability
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
