Sales Representative: Parts | UD Trucks Midrand

Position Overview:

UD Trucks Midrand currently has a vacancy for a Sales Representative: Parts. The primary purpose of the position is to grow the customer base of the parts department. To maximise sales opportunities through customer centric initiatives thus achieving dealer objectives and individual targets as set by the parts manager. Reporting line will be to the Parts Manager with the ideal candidate having at least 2 years’ experience as a Parts Sales Executive within the motor industry and who is willing to go out and look for customers to meet the targets set.

Job Description:

• Must have parts sales experience within the Motor industry
• Go on the road to canvass for new and prospective customers
• Work with current data base and reconnect with lost sales
• High product knowledge as well as offering product solutions to customers
• Ability to follow up on all active prospects and update customer data base regularly
• Manage the sales process ensuring timeous deliveries
• Ability to effectively manage targets whilst increasing customer base
• Efficient in administration duties
• Able to ensure policies and procedures relevant to the business are adhered to
• Ability to monitor and control stock
• Ability to negotiate competitive prices
• Not focus current customers but acquire new business and create repeat business based on relationship

Specific Role Responsibilities:

• Ability to maintain good relationships internally and externally
• Ability to cold-call and Canvass
• Excellent communication using all mediums verbal, electronic etc.
• Team-player
• Able to initiate contact with customers
• Able to visit and meet with customer face to face
• Excellent negotiation skills

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric or Grade 12
• A valid South African driver’s license
• Fully computer literate
• Minimum work experience of 5 years – knowledge dependent
• Work related/ OEM related system know-how.
• Kerridge and EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) Experience would be advantageous.
