Job description
Software Academy is UK based company that teaches coding and digital skills to children aged 6 to 16. We are the only academy in the UK approved by the NCFE to issue accredited qualifications to children. Our team is fully remote, and we are growing.
We are looking for a Sales Representative based in South Africa to speak with UK parents about our courses.
What you will be doing
- Calling parents who have enquired about our courses or booked a free trial lesson
- Understanding what each family is looking for and recommending the right course
- Following up after trial lessons to convert interest into enrolments
- Handling objections around price, age, ability and online learning
- Keeping our CRM accurate and up to date
- Hitting monthly enrolment targets
No cold calling. Every parent you speak to has come to us directly.
What we are looking for
- Excellent spoken and written English, clear and professional on the phone
- Previous sales, call centre or customer facing experience
- Confident handling objections without being pushy
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, target driven environment
- Patient, warm and genuinely helpful, as you will be speaking with parents about their children
Desirable but not essential
Any of the following would be a real advantage, as it helps you speak confidently with parents about what their children are learning:
- An interest in or knowledge of coding, programming or technology
- Familiarity with Python, Scratch, JavaScript or HTML
- Experience or interest in game design, web design, AI, robotics or app development
- A background in education, tutoring, schools or working with children
- Experience working with UK or international customers
- Experience using a CRM, Zoom or online booking systems
You do not need to be a coder for this role. We will train you on everything you need to know about our courses.
The practical details
- Fully remote, working from home in South Africa
- 37.5 hours per week over five days, on UK time
- One of your working days will fall on a weekend
- Salary: R[18,000] to R[22,500] per month, depending on experience, plus commission on every enrolment
- Paid annual leave, paid public holidays, paid sick leave and UIF
- Permanent contract through our South African employer of record partner
You will need
- A reliable laptop or computer, headset and webcam
- A stable high speed internet connection
- A backup plan for power or internet outages
- A quiet, private space to work from
