Job Purpose:

To drive sales growth by promoting and selling the company’s building materials to customers, contractors, and businesses while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

● Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

● Promote and sell building materials (e.g., Tiles, Paints) to retail and trade customers.

● Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

● Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

● Prepare and present quotations and proposals to customers.

● Follow up on leads and inquiries to convert them into sales.

● Collaborate with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.

● Keep accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and market feedback.

● Provide market intelligence, including competitor pricing and promotions, to management.

● Attend meetings, trade shows, and events as required to promote products.

● Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

● Grade 12 (Matric).

● Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management (advantageous).

● 1–3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in wholesale, construction, or building materials.

● Knowledge of the building materials industry and products is advantageous.

● Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and mobile sales tools.
