Sales Representative: Used Vehicles - VW Kempton Park

About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Representative for our used vehicles department at VW Kempton Park. In this customer-facing role, you will focus on promoting and selling a diverse range of pre-owned vehicles, delivering exceptional service to potential buyers while fostering long-lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs, preferences, and budget to propose suitable options.
• Conduct vehicle presentations and test drives, highlighting unique selling points and features of our used vehicles.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for customers.
• Provide expert knowledge on vehicle specifications, financing options, and warranties to assist customers in making informed decisions.
• Collaborate with the dealership team to achieve sales targets and enhance overall dealership performance.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to stay competitive.
• Ensure that all documentation related to sales transactions is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Requirements

• Proven track record in sales, preferably within the automotive industry or related fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
• Strong negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach to sales.
• Demonstrable experience in managing customer relationships and handling objections effectively.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic understanding of financing options and paperwork related to vehicle sales is advantageous.
• Proficiency in computer software and CRM systems commonly used in the automotive sales process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large vehicle brands, particularly in a dealership setting.
• Relevant sales certifications or training in automotive sales techniques.
• Knowledge of the latest automotive technologies and features, especially in used vehicles.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
