Sales Specialist

External Sales Specialist — Bloemfontein, Free State

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of access control and security automation products, is seeking an External Sales Person to expand their client portfolio in the Bloemfontein region and provide continued sales support to existing customers. This role involves maintaining and developing strong relationships with distributors, installers, and commercial clients across the region.

The successful candidate will conduct regular site visits, ensure that reseller outlets are well represented with up-to-date displays and marketing material, and identify new commercial opportunities including complexes, business developments, and office parks. The role also requires meeting monthly branch sales targets, providing structured call reports to the Branch Manager, and staying current on product knowledge, competitor activity, and market pricing.

The ideal candidate will have a matric qualification with a basic understanding of electronic or mechanical equipment, along with at least one to two years of experience in a technical sales environment. A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence are essential, as the role requires regular travel throughout the region and occasional overtime. Key requirements:

• Matric with basic knowledge of electronic or mechanical equipment
• 2 years' experience in technical sales
• Proven experience in selling, negotiating, and promotional activities
• Computer literate (MS Office Suite), with exposure to an ERP system advantageous
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Willingness to work overtime as required
