ob Purpose
Carlcare Services is seeking a results-driven Sales Specialist with a strong background in the solar energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales of solar energy solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of solar products, system design principles, and the renewable energy market.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of residential, commercial, and industrial solar energy solutions.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the renewable energy sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, installers, EPC contractors, developers, and channel partners.
- Conduct client needs analyses and recommend suitable solar solutions based on energy requirements.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct site visits where necessary to assess customer requirements.
- Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM records.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Attend industry exhibitions, networking events, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Provide after-sales support and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Minimum RequirementsQualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Solar industry certifications will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years' proven sales experience within the solar energy industry (essential).
- Demonstrated experience selling:
- Solar PV systems
- Inverters
- Lithium battery storage systems
- Solar panels
- Hybrid and off-grid solutions
- Established network within the solar or renewable energy market will be advantageous.
Technical Knowledge (Essential)
The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of:
- Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
- Grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid systems
- Solar inverters
- Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Lithium battery technologies
- Solar system sizing principles
- Energy consumption analysis
- Load calculations
- Solar product specifications
- Renewable energy regulations and industry standards
- Basic electrical principles relating to solar installations
