Job description

Purpose

To take sales and client administration off the Key Account Managers so they can focus on selling and building client relationships - while giving clients and candidates a smooth, professional, well-managed experience from first contact to completed assessment.

About the role

MIE’s Talent Assessments division provides psychometric assessments and Human Capital Management services to clients across the public and private sectors, and is modernising its delivery through digital, technology-enabled assessment solutions. As the division grows, our Key Account Managers need dedicated support to stay focused on clients and sales rather than administration.

The Sales Support Administrator is the operational backbone of the TA sales function - keeping quotes, tenders, client onboarding, system access, the sales mailbox and candidate progress moving smoothly, and giving clients timely, professional updates. You will work closely with the Key Account Managers, the Operations team and clients to make sure nothing falls through the cracks, particularly during busy month-end periods.

It is a varied, fast-paced role that will suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and enjoys being the person who keeps everything running.

Key responsibilities

Client and candidate progress

▪ Check progress on assessments with the Operations team.

▪ Follow up with candidates who have not yet completed their assessments when the Ops team requires assistance during busy periods.

▪ Provide the Key Account Managers and clients with regular candidate progress updates.

Sales and commercial administration

▪ Assist Key Account Managers with drafting quotes and proposals.

▪ Assist with tender and RFQ responses.

▪ Submit SLAs, addendums and related documents to Legal and co-ordinate feedback for all parties involved

▪ Load and update client pricing on the system.

Sales coordination and support

▪ Manage the central sales mailbox.

▪ Respond to relevant queries, routing or escalating them as needed.

▪ Track the allocation of sales leads.

▪ Assist Key Account Managers with clients and general sales administration where required.

Client onboarding and system support

▪ Assist clients through the registration and onboarding process.

▪ Assist clients with system-related issues and access.

▪ Manage website chat enquiries.

Skills and competencies

▪ Excellent organisation, with the ability to manage many tasks and deadlines at once - and to stay on top of them under pressure.

▪ Strong written and verbal communication, with a professional, client-ready manner.

▪ A proactive, follow-through mindset - you chase things down and close the loop without being asked.

▪ Confident working across systems (CRM, assessment platforms and MS Office), and quick to learn new tools.

▪ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with pricing, contracts and client data.

▪ A genuine service orientation - you make clients and colleagues feel looked after.

▪ Discretion and care in handling confidential candidate and client information, in line with POPIA.

Qualifications and experience

▪ Matric / Grade 12 (essential); a relevant Administration, Sales or Human resources management diploma or certificate, or studying toward one, is an advantage.

▪ Experience in sales support, administration, client service or a coordination role is advantageous.

▪ Experience with quoting, CRM or client-management systems, and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is advantageous.

▪ Exposure to the assessments, HR, recruitment or background-screening sector is advantageous.
