Sales Support Assistant

In this role, you will support the sales team by researching prospective clients, verifying business information, identifying key decision makers, and maintaining accurate lead data. You will also assist with lead generation campaigns and sales administration while gaining valuable exposure to sales and marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and verify publicly available business and contact information.
• Build, maintain, and update prospect databases and CRM records.
• Conduct professional outbound calls to verify company information and identify decision makers.
• Accurately record information gathered from conversations.
• Support lead generation campaigns and targeted outreach initiatives.
• Prepare lead lists and research reports for the sales team.
• Assist with email marketing activities and marketing support initiatives.

Experience

• Previous experience in lead generation, sales support, administration, or business research.
• Experience working with CRM systems.Exposure to B2B sales or marketing environments.
• Experience using email marketing platforms such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or Apollo is advantageous.

Education

• A relevant qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is advantageous.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Knowledge and Skills

• Competent in using AI (LLMs) to support research and data collection.
• Strong internet research and information gathering skills.
• Excellent verbal communication with a professional telephone manner.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Comfortable working with databases and web based research tools.
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to use initiative, solve problems, and think creatively.
• Professional, courteous, and relationship focused.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
