Sales Trainer – Call Centre / Telesales

Are you a passionate Sales Trainer who knows how to turn good sales agents into great ones?

Around The Clock Calling is looking for an experienced, energetic and results-driven Sales Trainer to join our Cape Town team.

We are looking for someone who understands that effective sales training is about more than delivering presentations. You need to be comfortable on the call centre floor, coaching agents, listening to calls, identifying performance gaps and helping salespeople improve their results.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging sales training to new and existing agents
• Develop and facilitate product, sales and process training
• Conduct induction and sales onboarding programmes
• Coach agents on communication, questioning, objection handling and closing techniques
• Listen to and evaluate sales calls to identify coaching opportunities
• Provide one-on-one and group coaching
• Work closely with Team Leaders and Management to identify performance gaps
• Develop refresher and upskilling training programmes
• Track training effectiveness and agent performance
• Assist with improving sales conversion, quality and overall performance
• Keep training material, guides and presentations up to date
• Support new campaigns and product launches with appropriate training
• Identify trends and recommend improvements to sales processes and agent capability

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years' experience as a Sales Trainer in a call centre / telesales environment
• Strong understanding of outbound sales
• Previous experience training sales agents is essential
• Experience working with sales targets and KPIs
• Excellent knowledge of sales techniques, objection handling and closing
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Confident communication and excellent English
• Comfortable coaching both individuals and groups
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple training requirements
• Energetic, positive and able to motivate sales teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Essential

• Experience with UK sales campaigns
• B2B or B2C telesales experience
• Experience in a high-volume outbound call centre
• Experience using call monitoring/QA systems
• Experience developing training material and assessments
• Previous experience working with Team Leaders and Operations Managers
