SAP Basis Manager

About the Role

ZCODE IT is looking for an experienced SAP Basis Manager to support an upcoming SAP S/4HANA project through one of our technology partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for SAP Basis technical activities across SAP environments, with a strong focus on S/4HANA implementation, migration and technical administration.

This is an independent contractor opportunity and is suitable for an experienced SAP Basis professional with strong technical and project experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support SAP Basis environments across the project lifecycle.
• Perform SAP Basis administration, configuration and technical support.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrations.
• Coordinate and support technical migration activities.
• Monitor SAP system performance, availability and stability.
• Manage system upgrades, patches, installations and technical maintenance.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of SAP technical issues.
• Work with functional consultants, developers, infrastructure teams and other technical stakeholders.
• Support SAP system integration and connectivity requirements.
• Assist with technical planning, deployment and cutover activities.
• Ensure SAP environments are maintained according to project and technical requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to SAP Basis team members where required.
• Document technical activities, configurations and migration processes.

Minimum Requirements

• 5–10 years of SAP technical experience.
• Strong SAP Basis administration experience.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and/or migrations.
• Experience working across SAP technical environments.
• SAP BASIS Administration Certification.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a project team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• RISE with SAP.
• SAP cloud environments.
• SAP BTP.
• On-premise to cloud migration experience.
• SAP system upgrades and technical implementations.
• Experience leading or coordinating SAP technical teams.

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced SAP Basis professional who can take ownership of technical activities and contribute effectively to an S/4HANA project.

Candidates with strong S/4HANA migration and implementation experience will be particularly relevant.
