Position Overview

ZCODE IT is seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant to support a major SAP S/4HANA environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the functional design, configuration, implementation and support of SAP PS solutions across project and business processes.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of SAP functional consulting experience, strong SAP PS expertise, and a proven track record of participating in at least two full SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams and project management to ensure that SAP PS solutions meet business requirements and integrate effectively with other SAP modules.

Minimum Requirements

• 5–10 years of SAP Functional Consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Project Systems (PS).
• Minimum of 2 full SAP S/4HANA implementations and/or migrations.
• Relevant SAP S/4HANA Project Systems certification.
• Proven experience in SAP PS configuration and functional support.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end project management processes within SAP.
• Experience working with cross-functional SAP teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional specifications, testing and implementation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP PS functional solutions.
• Configure and maintain SAP Project Systems functionality.
• Support project planning, budgeting, costing, scheduling and execution processes.
• Configure and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project structures.
• Configure Networks, activities, milestones and project relationships.
• Support project cost planning, budgeting, commitments and actual cost tracking.
• Configure project settlement and integration with financial processes.
• Support integration between SAP PS and modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PM and PP.
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration activities.
• Conduct requirements workshops with business stakeholders.
• Prepare functional specifications for technical development where required.
• Support system configuration, unit testing, integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Investigate and resolve functional issues and defects.
• Support data migration activities related to SAP PS.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents and user documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to business users.
• Support cutover, go-live and post-go-live activities.
• Work closely with technical teams, project managers and other SAP functional consultants.
• Ensure SAP PS solutions align with business processes and project objectives.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong practical experience in the following areas:

SAP Project Systems

• SAP PS configuration and implementation.

• Cost planning and cost control.
• Project commitments and actual costs.
• Project settlement.

• Project reporting and monitoring.

SAP S/4HANA

• Minimum 2 full SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functional changes relevant to PS.
• Experience working through the full implementation lifecycle:
• Explore → Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Hypercare
• Experience with S/4HANA configuration, testing and deployment.
• Experience supporting data migration and reconciliation activities.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori and S/4HANA user experience would be advantageous.Integration

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP PS Functional Consultant who can operate independently within a complex SAP environment and understands both the technical functionality and business processes surrounding project management.

They should have:

• 5–10 years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Strong SAP PS functional expertise.
• At least 2 complete S/4HANA implementation/migration projects.
• A valid SAP S/4HANA certification relevant to Project Systems.
• Strong configuration and troubleshooting capability.
• Good understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle processes.
• Strong SAP integration knowledge.
• Experience working in large and complex SAP environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with functional and technical teams.
• Experience working in project environments with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.

Pay: From R800,00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Johannesburg, Gauteng
