Job description
Evotec Plastics is a Cape Town base manufacturer specialising in innovative packaging for the cosmetic and corporate promotional markets, is seeking a SAP Systems Administrator to provide reliable administrative and SAP support while protecting the accuracy of user access, master data and business transactions. The role will initially focus on administration and SAP support, expanding to creditors' responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration:
- Manage reception, the main switchboard, consumable and stationery purchasing, couriers, filing and archive administration.
System Admin
- Act as the first internal point of contact for routine SAP queries and coordinate approved user creation, amendment and removal while maintaining the user-access register.
- Load new business partners, manage credit applications.
- Create and maintain approved customer, supplier, product and pricing master data.
- Train new SAP users and provide refresher training where recurring errors are identified.
Master Data Management
- Verify supporting documents and approvals, identify inaccurate or incomplete master data and maintain an audit trail of changes.
- Monitor incomplete, blocked, outstanding or incorrectly processed transactions and help departments correct errors and strengthen administrative controls.
- Manage creditor processes up to account reconciliation and payment preparation.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or currently in their second year of studies, in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, Business Administration or a related field.
- Practical experience working in SAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping and sound problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to support and train users.
