Scooter Driver / Rent-to-Own Opportunity

About the Opportunity

RideOwn SA is looking for a reliable and responsible driver to join our scooter rent-to-own programme, starting 1 November 2026.

This opportunity is designed for an individual who wants access to a scooter for work and income-generating activities such as delivery services and other permitted driving work.

What We Offer

Scooter provided under a 24-month rent-to-own agreement

R650 per week payable for 24 months

Start date: 1 November 2026

At the end of the agreed 24-month payment period, ownership of the scooter will transfer to the driver, subject to the terms and conditions of the signed agreement.

Please note: R650 per week is the driver's scooter rental/rent-to-own payment to RideOwn SA. It is not a salary or wage paid by RideOwn SA.

Requirements

The successful applicant must:

Have a valid driver's licence appropriate for the scooter
Be a confident and responsible scooter/motorcycle rider
Be reliable and committed to making the weekly payments
Have a valid South African ID or appropriate legal documentation
Have access to a smartphone
Be willing to sign and comply with the RideOwn SA rent-to-own agreement
Be willing to provide the required documentation before receiving the scooter
Be responsible for the scooter's day-to-day care and operating costs as set out in the agreement

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable and punctual
Responsible with vehicles
Hard-working and self-motivated
Able to work consistently
Interested in using the scooter to generate an income
Serious about eventually owning their own scooter

Important Information

This is a rent-to-own opportunity and not a conventional employment position.

The driver is responsible for their own work and income generation. RideOwn SA provides the scooter subject to the agreed terms, conditions and payment schedule.

All applicants will be required to complete a screening process and provide the necessary documentation before an agreement is finalised.
