Position: Seasonal Assistant Manager
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract
Start Date: 1 October 2026
Salary: R8 000 - R12 000 depending on accommodation and transport requirements
Accommodation: Live-in accommodation may be available

About the Role

Waterfall Valley is looking for a friendly, energetic and hands-on Seasonal Assistant Manager to join our team for the busy summer season.

You will work alongside and assist the current Manager with the day-to-day running of the property, guest experience and general operations. This is a hands-on role in a small team where everyone is expected to multitask and assist wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the Manager with the daily operation of the property.

· Welcome guests and assist with check-ins, check-outs and guest requests.

· Help maintain high standards of guest service and presentation.

· Assist with functions.

· Assist with coordinating daily tasks and supporting the team during busy periods.

· Report maintenance, stock and operational issues to the Manager.

· Assist with opening, closing and general property checks.

· Be willing to assist with practical tasks wherever required.

Working Hours

The position will generally consist of 4 morning shifts and 2 evening shifts per week, but this may change according to business requirements, bookings and events.

The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends, public holidays and evenings.

Requirements

· Previous hospitality or guesthouse experience in a managerial role.

· Friendly, professional and comfortable working with guests.

· Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.

· Hands-on, flexible and willing to multitask.

· Good communication skills.

· Own transport is advantageous.

Advantageous Experience

· Tour guiding experience

· German-speaking

· Experience with events and working with international guests

Pay: R8 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
