Secure Driver

Secure Drive is expanding its freelance contractor network and is seeking professional and dependable Secure Drivers.

The role involves the safe, timely and secure transportation of clients and assets on an assignment basis. Successful candidates must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, excellent customer service and strict adherence to Secure Drive’s operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to specified locations while planning efficient routes and complying with all traffic laws.
• Provide professional, discreet and high-quality service throughout each assignment.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, fuelled and operationally ready.
• Ensure the safe and appropriate handling of passengers, luggage and authorised items.
• Maintain accurate trip records, fuel receipts and task-related documentation.
• Comply with company policies, operational procedures and applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 18788 requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch, coordinators and other relevant stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to operational instructions and escalate delays, incidents or client concerns through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for passengers.
• Valid PSiRA registration, Grade C or higher.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Proven professional driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of road-safety practices and defensive driving principles.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• High level of discretion, reliability and professional presentation.
• Availability to accept assignments on a freelance basis, including after-hours, weekends and public holidays when required.

Advantageous

• Accredited advanced or defensive driving qualification.
• Previous experience transporting executives, VIPs or high-profile clients.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and organisational compliance requirements.

This is a freelance contractor opportunity, with assignments offered according to operational requirements and availability.
