Security Contract Manager

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Daily management reports and incident reports;
• Client liaison;
• Problem solving;
• Checking and testing of all equipment and vehicles;
• Managing people and assets;
• Application of HR policies, practices and procedures;
• Enforcing of Standard Operating Procedures;
• Investigating of incidents;
• Management of health and safety issues for Sappi;
• Reading of forestry maps;
• Must be able to cover a large area of the forestry as required by the client ;

Preferred qualifications/ attributes/skills

• PSIRA certification- Grade A;
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• Knowledge and experience in forestry security will be an advantage;
• Must be able to read forestry maps;
• Investigation skills;
• Community liaison experience
• Computer literate [MS Word, Excel and Outlook];
• Strong management and planning ability;
• Health and Safety qualification and working knowledge of OHSA, NOSA;
• Sound communication skills [verbal and in writing];
• Must be prepared to work long hours;
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
• Must have valid driver’s license;
• Zulu speaking will be an advantage;
• Firearm competent;
