WE’RE HIRING – SECURITY CONTROLLER (OPERATIONS ROOM)
Location: Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal
We are seeking a highly organised, vigilant, and professional Security Controller to join our Operations Room team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating security operations, monitoring incidents, and ensuring effective communication between response teams, clients, and management.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid PSIRA Registration (Minimum Grade C)
- Previous experience in a Security Operations/Control Room is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office and security management systems)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- No criminal record
- Reside in or around Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal
- Traceable references
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate all operational activities within the control room.
- Dispatch Armed Response Officers to alarm activations and emergency incidents.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and tracking platforms.
- Maintain accurate occurrence books, incident logs, and operational records.
- Communicate effectively with field personnel, clients, emergency services, and management.
- Escalate incidents promptly and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Prepare daily operational reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure all radio and telephone communications are handled professionally.
- Support the Operations Department in maintaining efficient service delivery.
