Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, alert, and professional Security Guard to protect our premises, staff, assets, and visitors. The successful candidate will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond appropriately to incidents in line with company procedures and South African security industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor entry and exit points, controlling access for staff, visitors, and vehicles
Conduct regular patrols of the premises (on foot and/or vehicle)
Complete and maintain accurate occurrence book (OB) entries and incident reports
Respond to emergencies and suspicious activity
Enforce site health and safety regulations
Liaise with SAPS, armed response, or emergency services when required
Search bags/vehicles where authorised and in line with site protocol

Minimum Requirements

PSIRA registration (Grade C, D, or E — specify as applicable) in good standing
Valid PSIRA certificate and registration card
Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent — advantageous
Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a similar security role
Clear criminal record (background check will be conducted)
Must be able to pass a security clearance/vetting check
Physically fit and able to stand/patrol for extended periods
Own reliable transport to and from site (advantageous)
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
South African citizen or valid work permit

Advantageous (depending on role requirements)

Grade A/B PSIRA registration for supervisory roles
