Job description
Semi skilled tractor Mechanic
3 month contract
Location: Bronkhorstspruit (rural)
What You Will Do: Diagnose, service, and repair farm tractors, diesel engines, and heavy agricultural equipment. Perform scheduled maintenance.
What We Need From You:
Proven experience working on diesel tractors and farm machinery (short listed candidates will undergo a practical assessment of skills)
Reliable work ethic and valid driver’s license.
- Preferred requirement Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum requirement Grade 11 certificate
- 2-3 years proven tractor experience
- Above average knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in tractors
- General work experience in the agricultural sector
- English literacy (speak, read and write)
- Valid driver’s license (not negotiable)

- Are responsible for the work done by subordinates

- Primarily work outdoors and occasionally indoors
- Physically demanding (heavy lifting)

- Accuracy to be sure that all details are done
- Planning of own tasks, priorities, and goals without talking with the workshop manager
- Work in a stressful environment especially when attending to breakdowns
Pay: R7 727,00 per month
Education:
- High School (matric) (Preferred)
Experience:
- Tractor maintenance: 2 years (Required)
