Overview:

Welcome to the Games Global world. We’re changing the rules of the game. Providing 1,300+ exclusive games from some seriously talented studios and not to mention a record-breaking progressive jackpot network, we help operators level up and create their perfect lobby.

We are looking for a Senior 2D Animator to join our team to improve and evolve 2D content and processes in order to create animated assets to enhance the game user experience. Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver high-quality game and character animations in the required formats for implementation.
  • Conceptualize and develop new animation concepts based on storyboards, game requirements, and stakeholder input.
  • Create, source, or request additional visual assets required to complete animation projects.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and obtain approvals.
  • Produce animatics from storyboards using assets provided by Game Designers, 3D Designers, and other relevant teams.
  • Refine animation timing, pacing, and editing in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver final animatics that support game development and sound design requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, mentoring, and coaching to junior and senior team members.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of animation software, tools, workflows, and technical product requirements.
  • Promote and maintain effective archiving, file management, and template systems.
  • Drive the animation creation process from concept through final delivery.
  • Conduct competitor and industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Document research findings and present recommendations to the team on a regular basis.
  • Continuously improve and optimize animation processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders on product sequencing, timing, and overall user experience.
  • Ensure all animations align with the game theme, target audience, and brand standards.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all game elements, including gameplay, bonus features, payout screens, introductions, and supporting visuals.
  • Incorporate cultural awareness and audience considerations into animation design decisions.
  • Conduct project-specific research to support creative direction and project objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions while balancing short- and long-term business needs.
  • Drive results by managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work.
  • Communicate ideas, recommendations, and feedback clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by aligning animation outputs with broader business and product goals.
  • Support talent development through coaching, constructive feedback, skills development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Encourage innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement, challenging existing practices, and promoting creative problem-solving.
  • Adapt effectively to changing priorities, project requirements, and business needs while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, BA Multimedia in Digital Visual Arts, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Broad and deep understanding of traditional animation and motion graphics principles.
  • Strong knowledge of design and animation principles.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory.
  • Relevant software experience, including Adobe After Effects, Spine or similar
  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects of varying volume and complexity, with exposure to different technologies, processes, and portfolio requirements.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration and communication across teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced strategic problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated learner who actively shares knowledge and best practices to support team development. Equal Opportunities Statement
