Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Houghton. The Senior Accountant will oversee daily financial operations, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, and journals.
• Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation's.
• Maintain accurate use of accounting systems (e.g. Xero).
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax legislation, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, and compliance.
• Knowledge of accounting and payroll software and financial tools such as Xero, Pay Space, Simple Play, Caseware, EasyFile
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years’ experience in an Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and relevant tax legislation

Pay: R17 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
