Senior GL Accountant | Africa Services | Finance

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong General Ledger experience and a passion for delivering accurate financial reporting? We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant to join our Finance Business Partner team, supporting Africa Services.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing complex general ledger activities, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, analysing financial information, and providing valuable insights to business stakeholders. You'll work closely with leadership teams, helping to drive operational excellence and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Review and analyse general ledger accounts and financial transactions.

✔ Support month-end and year-end close activities.

✔ Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.

✔ Review debtor balances, ageing reports, and recovery activities.

✔ Prepare and analyse profit and loss reports and balance sheet schedules.

✔ Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

✔ Assist with audits, tax pack preparation, VAT support, and fixed asset reporting.

✔ Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and provide financial guidance.

Requirements

✅ Degree or Honours in Finance or Accounting.

✅ Minimum 4 years' experience in a finance environment.

✅ Strong General Ledger and financial reporting experience.

✅ Sound SAP knowledge and financial systems experience.

✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
