Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant/Finance Operations Lead | Up to R 850 000.00 | CPT

One of our clients is looking for a Senior Accountant / Finance Operations Lead to take ownership of the company's financial operations, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and management reporting in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.

⭐What You'll Be Doing:

✔ Own and maintain the integrity of the Xero general ledger

✔ Reconcile banks, Yoco and payment platforms

✔ Manage inventory accounting between Cin7 and Xero

✔ Oversee stock movements, landed costs and cost of sales

✔ Reconcile Shopify, Cin7 and payment platform sales

✔ Manage debtors, creditors and supplier reconciliations

✔ Prepare supplier payment schedules and cash flow forecasts

✔ Deliver monthly management accounts and financial reporting

✔ Produce inventory ageing, gross margin and stock analysis reports

✔ Ensure VAT, payroll taxes and statutory compliance

✔ Strengthen financial controls and resolve discrepancies

🎯 We're Looking For:

✅ Bcom Accounting Qualification

✅ SAICA or SAIPA Articles (or equivalent practical experience)

✅ 10+ years' accounting experience

✅ 5+ years in a Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant role

✅ Strong hands-on Xero experience (essential)

✅ Experience with Cin7 or similar inventory management systems

✅ Experience reconciling Yoco, PayFast, Peach Payments or similar platforms

✅ Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, reconciliations)

✅ Retail, Wholesale or Inventory-based industry experience

✅ Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll taxes and South African accounting standards
