Job Specification – Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will support multiple clients by managing day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with cloud-based accounting transitions, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients in transitioning to cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bill payment processing.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end close activities.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and charts of accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare sales tax returns, 1099 filings, and property tax declarations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Serve as a primary client contact and provide financial advice and solutions.
• Identify process improvements, strengthen controls, and improve reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• CPA designation or pursuing CPA certification.
• Advanced QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting applications.
