Senior Area Sales Specialist

Job Purpose

The Sales Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and driving the performance of the sales team, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, developing customer relationships, and increasing the company’s market share within the solar energy and renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of solar energy sales consultants.
• Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and monitor performance against these targets.
• Drive the achievement of individual and team sales KPIs.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop sales team members.
• Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Monitor sales activities, leads, conversions, and customer follow-ups.
• Identify new business opportunities and support the team in generating leads.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and/or business customers.
• Ensure sales consultants understand and effectively communicate solar solutions, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, backup systems, and related products.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding products, pricing, installations, warranties, and financing options.
• Work closely with technical and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.
• Handle escalated customer queries and assist in resolving complaints professionally.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and provide management with updates on team performance.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
• Ensure the sales team follows company policies, procedures, and ethical sales practices.
• Conduct field visits and support sales representatives with customer meetings where required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales processes and conversion rates.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field would be advantageous.
• 2–4 years’ experience in sales, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Experience in the solar energy, renewable energy, electrical, backup power, or related industry will be highly advantageous.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience managing and developing a sales team.
• Valid driver's licence may be required.
• Willingness to travel and conduct field sales activities.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
