Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant

We seek a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations for multiple group entities. You will ensure accurate records, timely reporting, and compliance while supporting month-end, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of books using Xero for multiple companies.
• Process AP/AR, bank/credit card reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
• Prepare VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL returns and submissions.
• Perform month-end closes, trial balances, and management accounts.
• Assist with annual financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and audits.
• General ledger maintenance, journal entries, and fixed asset registers

Requirements

• Matric with Accounting + Senior Bookkeeping qualification (ICB) or BCom Accounting (preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping/accounting role, ideally in a multi-entity or SME environment.
• Proficiency in Xero or equivalent accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Tax (VAT, PAYE) and statutory returns.
• Experience with financial statements and audit preparation is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure with deadlines.
• Reliable, discreet, and a team player who can collaborate with operations and management.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport advantageous.

Pay: R360 000,00 - R480 000,00 per year
