Bookkeeper

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape
Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow professionally, and build a long-term career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping up to trial balance.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Process journals and month-end procedures.
Assist with payroll processing.
Prepare monthly management reports and support the annual audit process.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience.
Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Pastel, Sage Intacct, or similar accounting software.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
