SENIOR CALL CENTRE SALES & COLLECTIONS AGENT

Cape Town / Table View Area | Full-Time Position

We are looking for a highly experienced, confident and results-driven Senior Call Centre Sales & Collections Agent to join our busy service-business environment.

This is NOT an entry-level call centre position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 6 years' proven call centre experience – essential
• Strong telephone sales and lead-conversion experience
• Proven debt collection / outstanding account recovery experience
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
• Confident making a high volume of outbound calls
• Able to convert enquiries and leads into confirmed bookings/sales
• Comfortable following up customers for outstanding payments
• Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills
• Excellent English communication skills
• Good computer and administrative skills
• Experience working with CRM systems and customer databases
• Accurate record keeping and follow-up skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet daily targets
• Reliable, punctual and organised
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Making outbound sales and follow-up calls
• Handling incoming customer enquiries professionally
• Converting enquiries into bookings and sales
• Following up quotations and potential customers
• Re-contacting existing customers for repeat business
• Following up overdue customer accounts
• Requesting proof of payment and resolving payment discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate notes on all customer conversations
• Updating CRM/customer records
• Following up customers when promised
• Meeting daily call, sales, booking and collection targets
• Providing management with accurate feedback and reports

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We need a mature, experienced and accountable person who understands that making calls is only part of the job. The objective is to produce results.

You should be comfortable speaking to customers, asking for the sale, following up repeatedly when necessary, and professionally dealing with customers who have outstanding accounts.

You must have the confidence to pick up the telephone and work through a database without needing constant supervision.

Applicants without the required 6 years' relevant experience should please not apply.

Experience in a service business, telesales, call centre, debt collection, customer retention or booking environment will be highly advantageous.
