Vehicle & Traffic Safety

Position: Senior Chauffeur

Grade: F

Number of Positions: 2

Reports To: Judge

Job Summary The incumbent is responsible for driving the Honourable Judges of the High Court at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Drive the Honourable Judges of the High Court.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections before long journeys, including checking:

Engine oil
Fuel levels
Wheel studs
Brakes
Lights
Speedometer
Mirrors
Water levels
Tyres

Maintain vehicle logbooks and route orders.
Clean and maintain the Judges’ vehicle, including the engine.

Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet either of the following requirements:

Option 1

COSC/LGCSE qualification.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a driver.
Valid driver’s licence.
Clean driving record.
Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.

OR Option 2

GCE qualification.
Minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a driver.
Valid driver’s licence.
Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Punctuality.
Courtesy and professionalism.
Strong sense of responsibility.
