SENIOR DIESEL MECHANIC

Transnational Freightlink is looking for a highly experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our depot in Rosslyn, Pretoria.

We’re not simply looking for someone who can service a truck. We need an experienced all rounder, fault finder and team player who knows commercial vehicles inside and out and takes pride in getting the job done properly.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic – Trade Test required
• 10+ years’ post qualification experience
• Strong commercial truck experience
• Experience on IVECO and Fuso trucks is highly advantageous; strong experience on other commercial vehicles will also be considered
• Auto Electrical experience is a strong advantage
• Extensive hands on experience with engines, gearboxes, brakes, air systems, suspension, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Extensive experience on trailer maintenance and air suspension axles
• Valid driver’s licence – Code 14 preferred.

The person we want:

You’re a reliable, hands on diesel mechanic with strong attention to detail and the ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts. You work well under pressure, take ownership of your work and collaborate effectively with other mechanics to solve complex repair issues. You value teamwork and contribute to keeping the workshop safe, efficient and productive.

Working hours:

Monday – Friday | 07:00 – 16:30

The position forms part of a standby rotation with two other mechanics.
