Our client, a globally recognized Independent Power Producer (IPP) , is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Cape Town finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing international organization driving the energy transition across multiple markets.
Position: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Cape Town
Qualifications:
- CA(SA)
- 5 – 7 years post article experience
- Consolidations or Group reporting
- Previous experience within a multinational organization will be highly advantageous.
Salary: R1mil to R1.1mil excluding performance bonus
Skills:
- IFRS Reporting
- SAP / Hyperion experience
- Managerial experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead the group consolidation process across multiple legal entities (consolidation experience is non-negotiable).
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Support tax, treasury, and broader finance functions where required.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
