Purpose of the Role

The Senior Graphic Designer's primary function is the end-to-end development of high-quality visual communication that supports Fidelity Services Group's brand, marketing, sales and internal communication objectives. The role is responsible for maintaining the creative quality and consistency of all design output, from initial concept development through to final artwork and production.

The incumbent will translate technical fire-safety products, services and business information into clear, professional and visually engaging communication for both business-to-business and consumer audiences.

Beyond day-to-day design production, the role has an evolving mandate to assist the Marketing Manager in establishing and formalising an internal marketing division. The incumbent will help develop the creative standards, systems, templates and workflows required to improve the division's agility and reduce its reliance on external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Creative Production

  • Conceptualise and produce high-quality creative work across corporate, marketing, sales, recruitment and internal communication requirements.
  • Design material for print and digital platforms, including social media content, digital advertising, brochures, product sheets, presentations, proposals, billboards, signage, exhibition material, website graphics and internal communication.
  • Translate technical fire-safety information into clear, accessible and visually engaging communication.
  • Develop campaign concepts, creative treatments, mood boards and visual mock-ups that respond effectively to marketing briefs.
  • Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for print, digital publishing and external suppliers.
  • Adapt approved creative work into the correct sizes, specifications and formats for different media platforms.
  • Maintain organised working files and archives of completed artwork, templates, brand assets and campaign material.
  • Quality-control all final artwork for layout, spelling, technical accuracy and production readiness.

Brand Development & Consistency

  • Maintain a consistent visual identity and brand tone across all Fidelity Services Group marketing and communication material.
  • Ensure that all creative output aligns with Fidelity Services Group brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on concept development for campaigns, launches, events and internal initiatives.
  • Work with photographers, videographers, agencies, printers and other creative suppliers to ensure that the approved creative direction is applied correctly.
  • Review and quality-control creative output produced by junior team members and external suppliers where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and modernise Fidelity Services Group's visual identity without compromising its corporate credibility.

Digital & Motion Design

  • Develop digital-first creative content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google and other relevant platforms.
  • Design animated social media content, digital banners, campaign graphics and basic motion assets.
  • Support video production through the development of storyboards, title screens, lower thirds, transitions, presentation graphics and end frames.
  • Ensure that creative material is supplied in the correct aspect ratios and technical formats for each digital platform.
  • Work closely with videographers and content producers to maintain a consistent visual approach across static and motion-based content.

Team Formalisation & Marketing Support

Evolving Responsibility

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in formalising an internal marketing division, including defining design workflows, production standards and creative processes.
  • Contribute to developing the equipment, software, templates and resourcing requirements for an in-house creative capability.
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of future graphic design, multimedia or junior creative hires as the division grows.
  • Help establish briefing templates, brand toolkits, approval processes and quality-control standards to streamline creative production.
  • Assist in developing a centralised library of approved brand assets, templates, imagery and campaign material.
  • Help reduce unnecessary agency dependency by building a responsive and capable internal design function.

Creative Technology & Tooling

Evolving Responsibility

  • Evaluate and recommend design software, systems and collaboration tools that improve the marketing division's efficiency and output.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and emerging creative technologies to concept development, image creation, design adaptation and campaign production.
  • Support the implementation of digital asset management, workflow automation and creative collaboration tools.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager and IT department to ensure that creative software, hardware, storage and systems are fit for purpose.
  • Contribute to the division's creative technology roadmap as it expands into broader marketing and production capabilities.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Eight or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or a related creative role, including senior or lead-level responsibility.
  • A diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality corporate, brand, campaign, digital and print work.
  • Experience managing design projects from concept through to final production.
  • Experience working within, or helping to establish, an in-house or agency creative function is advantageous.
  • Experience designing for both business-to-business and consumer audiences.
  • Experience in the fire-safety, security, technology, corporate services or a similar sector is advantageous but not essential.

  • Sound understanding of digital advertising formats, social media specifications and responsive design requirements.
  • Experience developing presentations and proposals in PowerPoint or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Canva or other collaborative design tools is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted design tools and emerging creative technologies.
  • Photography, videography, illustration or three-dimensional design capabilities are advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of brand guideline application and design consistency across different formats and platforms.

Core Competencies

  • Strong conceptual design ability, with an exceptional eye for detail and visual quality.
  • Able to translate complex or technical information into simple and visually understandable communication.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to design against clear marketing, sales and communication objectives.
  • Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines concurrently.
