Job description
HR Officer
1.Administration
a. Manage attendance and leave records.
b. Maintain disciplinary and other HR documentation.
c. Handle the day-to-day HR administration of the business.
2. Performance Management
a. Supports managers and supervisors with performance evaluations.
b. Identify and address performance issues.
c. Assists supervisors with personnel and productivity issues.
d. Supports employees with appropriate training and development opportunities.
3. Employee and Labor Relations
a. Acts as a liaison between management and employees.
b. Handles employee grievances and conflicts.
c. Assists with disciplinary processes.
d. Ensures that HR and disciplinary procedures are applied fairly and consistently.
e. Supports management with labor relations.
4. Health, Safety and Compliance
a. Ensures that employees receive the necessary safety training.
b. Monitor compliance with workplace safety requirements.
c. Keep safety and training documentation up to date.
d. Collaborate with factory management to promote a safe working environment.
5. HR compliance and reporting
a. Ensure that HR practices comply with applicable South African labour legislation.
b. Maintain accurate HR documentation and records.
c. Monitor training and skills development compliance.
d. Compile HR reports and information for management.
6. Employee development and engagement
a. Identify opportunities for employee development.
b. Promote a positive work culture.
c. Support employee engagement and retention of staff.
d. Encourage continuous learning and development.
7. Training and skills development
a. Conduct skills audits of factory employees.
b. Identify training needs and skills shortages.
c. Develop and manage the annual training plan and budget.
d. Maintain training records and manage SETA/MERSETA compliance.
e. Coordinate internal and external training.
f. Manage apprenticeships and employee development.
8. Recruitment and employment
a. Manage the recruitment process from advertising to selection and appointment.
b. Recruit employees for factory and other positions.
c. Conduct appropriate pre-employment assessments.
d. Coordinate induction and orientation of new employees.
e. Ensure that new employees understand the company’s procedures, safety requirements and culture.
Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
