Job description
The successful incumbent will function as a Senior Human Resources Consultant, providing professional advice and consultation on a wide range of HR methods, policies, and programmes. Key responsibilities include consulting with Divisions and providing best-practice guidance in areas such as recruitment and selection, training and development, remuneration and benefits, change management, transformation and employment equity, organisational development, talent and performance management, employee relations, disciplinary processes, employee wellness, and general HR administration.
The role further entails the delivery of comprehensive human resources and equity programmes, as well as providing functional leadership, ensuring effective HR processes, and demonstrating sound self-management within the assigned college or business unit.
Minimum requirements
- Honours degree in Human Resources and/or Industrial Psychology/or related field
- Five (5) years generalist Human Resources experience, and three (3) years of which should be in a senior consulting capacity
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of HR theories and best practices
- Has sound knowledge of business drivers and trends and environmental factors to influence and shape HR strategy
- A valid driver’s licence
