Senior Internal Audit Manager

BMMCA is a professional accounting and audit advisory firm. The firm has four (4) established departments; Accounting, Tax, Payroll and Audit and is currently seeking to hire an experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager to join the Audit and Advisory department.

Responsibilities

Providing independent and objective assurance reviews on the following types; internal audits, agreed-upon procedures, control self-assessments and probity audit engagements.

Developing and implementing risk-based internal audit plans and successful completion of all audit/review milestones including sign off by deadline.

Performing timely quality reviews on audit worked performed by team members including resolution of review findings.

Managing and guiding audit team members and ensuring Senior Internal Auditors have clear and concise allocated tasks including timelines.

Delivering clear, evidence-based internal audit reports with risk ratings, gap analysis and recommendations.

Skills and Experience

Qualified CIA and/or Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA). Candidates to provide recently certified copies of qualifications.

6-10 years’+ experience in internal audit environment including risk management.

Experience in public sector including knowledge of public sector laws and regulations.

Strong understanding of;

• Internal controls and audit methodologies
• Control self-assessments
• Combined assurance engagements
• Internal audits/reviews
• Compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
• High integrity, independence and professional scepticism

Reporting

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Internal Audit Director.

Remuneration

Offer will depend on candidate’s in-depth knowledge and experience especially on control self-assessments

Pay: R45 000,00 - R75 000,00 per month
