Introduction A prestigious 5-star luxury lodge in the Greater Kruger is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Launderer to oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a strong luxury lodge background to play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring guest accommodation, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and laundry services consistently meet five-star standards. This hands-on leadership role requires strong operational management, team development, inventory control, budgeting experience, and exceptional attention to detail.

Working closely with lodge management, the Senior Launderer will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with company procedures, managing departmental resources, and developing a motivated team dedicated to guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven experience within luxury lodge environments.

This position offers the opportunity to join a world-class safari operation and contribute to creating unforgettable guest experiences in one of South Africa’s most sought-after wildlife destinations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in 5-star lodge environment
• Property Management System experience essential
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations
• Ability to read and follow garment care labels correctly
• Experience with laundry stock control and ordering
• Strong inventory management and cost control experience
• Extensive computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet applications
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service standards

Job Description

• Manage and coordinate all housekeeping and laundry operations
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness across guest rooms and public areas
• Ensure all laundry procedures and garment care standards are followed
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop housekeeping and laundry teams
• Manage departmental rosters and productivity
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory management
• Monitor departmental budgets and control operational costs
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections of guest accommodation and lodge facilities
• Deliver exceptional service levels aligned with five-star hospitality standards
• Implement and maintain company policies, procedures, and quality standards

Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month (DOE)

Accommodation: Live-in Position
