Job description
The School of Education is globally recognised for its world-class programs in pre-service teacher education, adult education, workplace learning, and higher education. We are committed to offering teacher education that is appropriate to both national and global contexts, of a high quality, and accessible to a diverse range of students.
The School seeks to employ a dedicated individual who will coordinate and lecture on modules in Adult Education at postgraduate level, including in the Advanced Diplomas in Technical and Vocational Training (TVT) and Adult and Community Education and Training (ACETT), and will supervise postgraduate students. The position requires an academic who is willing to engage with curriculum development and delivery and who will play a leading role in teaching and research in the Adult Education sub-discipline.
The incumbent will report to the Head of Discipline.
Minimum requirements
- A Doctoral degree in Adult Education or in a relevant discipline
- Three (3) years working experience in either teaching, lecturing, research, or industry (in the relevant field or discipline)
- Evidence of current and sustained research publication record in quality scientific journals (5 - 10), appropriate for the level.
- A track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at the Master's and/or PhD level, appropriate for the level
