Job description

The School of Education is globally recognised for its world-class programs in pre-service teacher education, adult education, workplace learning, and higher education. The School seeks to employ a dedicated individual to coordinate and lecture on modules in Higher Education Studies at the postgraduate level, supervise postgraduate students, and academically lead the School’s Work-integrated Learning (WIL), including academic leadership in the WIL Hub. This position requires an academic who is willing to engage with curriculum development and delivery, and who will play a leading role in WIL, as well as teaching and research in the Higher Education Studies sub-discipline

The incumbent will report to the Head of Department.

Minimum requirements

• A Doctoral degree in Higher Education Studies or in relevant discipline
• Three (3) years working experience in either Teaching, Lecturing, Research or Industry (in the relevant field or discipline).
• Evidence of current and sustained research publication record in quality scientific journals (5 - 10), appropriate for the level.
• A track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Masters and/or PhD level appropriate for the level
